Monica Schwass -New Zealand

Monica, aged 31, is the Future Farming Manager at The New Zealand Merino Company (NZM) and is based in Christchurch. She is responsible for the development and implementation of ZQRX, a regenerative wool programme.

Monica works alongside brands and growers to drive positive change on farm and to translate market insights into extension programmes that improve outcomes for the environment, animals, and people.

Working with growers across NZ, Australia, and South Africa, Monica is proud to have designed a system that recognises and rewards growers who are leading the way and provides a framework for the future.

Outside of work Monica loves being in the hills; walking, skiing, biking, as well as spending time with family & friends.
