Julie McDonald, Patron

Julie McDonald is the chief financial officer of one of Australia's largest beef cattle operations, the McDonald family-owned and operated MDH Pty Ltd, running 150,000 head of cattle across 15 properties throughout Queensland. The family is now in its 7th generation, and nearing 200 years of investment and experience in Australian agriculture.

Julie has also become a devoted and powerful advocate for attracting and supporting young people in agriculture and developing the leadership skills of the upcoming generation through her roles as a former director of the Zanda McDonald Award Foundation, a mentor in the Graeme Acton Beef Connections Program and inaugural Advancing Beef Leaders program.

Julie is a director of the Marcus Oldham College, Australian Stockman’s Hall of Fame and the RNA Foundation. She is an elected grass fed cattle producer member of the MLA Board Selection Committee and chair of the AgForce Market Access Coordination Group. Julie and Zanda McDonald had 16 wonderful years together before his passing.
